... Forty squares 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" (Piece C)
... Twelve squares 2 7/8" x 2 7/8" (Piece E)

Green print
... Six squares 4 7/8" x 4 7/8" cut once diagonally. Yield: twelve half-square triangles (Piece B)
... Twelve squares 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" (Piece C)

Assembly Instructions:
Step 1. Following block assembly instructions, make three Modified Union and two Nine-Patch blocks.

Step 2. Using Assembly Diagram as a guide, sew blocks and "end trapezoids" together.

Step 3. Cut backing fabric in half, lengthwise (approximately 21" x 40"). Sew two pieces together to make backing (approximately 21" x 80"). Layer and baste table runner top for quilting method of your choice (see Quiltmaking Lessons). Attach binding.

Step 5. Bind wall hanging with green print fabric (see ).
