I have a passion for appliqué and am working on some blocks stitched on scrappy pieced backgrounds. |

Just finished making the quilt for the December Yesterday & Today feature. It’s wool appliqué on regular woven cottons. It was great fun and the wool appliqué was EASY. Watch for it!

I'm at a fabric, paper, lace, frayed silk sort of a place that is going into frames. More art than quilts and I'm finding a restful process in it. |

I'm machine quilting a purple scrap quilt top my mother pieced and hadn’t found time to finish. My sister and I quilt-napped it for a Mother's Day surprise. |

I'm working on a medallion-style quilt, combining rich florals with stripes and plaids. My method tends to be design-as-I go, so frequently I stop, evaluate, and rip out seams. I cut each border extra wide, then trim it down once I have a plan for the next round.. |

I made a round play quilt for my little nephew in Seattle. It has appliquéd sailboats, suns, moons, fishes and ocean waves, and is all hand-sewn. Next is an appliquéd arrowhead quilt for a young friend who recently graduated high school. |

Last summer I bought a beading loom and have since discovered a lot about what NOT to do. One of these days, I'll get all that out of my system, and find out what really works! In the meantime, I'm having such fun that I don't mind the mistakes. |
