Cutting Instructions Leaf print ... 2 rectangles 26 1/2" x 40 1/2" Purple/white dot ... 2 strips 10 1/5" x 40 1/2" Piecing the Pillowcases Step 1. Referring to Diagram I, stitch 10 1/2" x 40 1/2" purple/white dot strip to 26 1/2" x 40 1/2" leaf print rectangle. Make 2. Fold in half (right sides together) as illustrated by dashed line in diagram. Step 2. Using 1/4" seam allowance, stitch layers together along 2 sides as shown in Diagram II-A. Step 3. To hem open end (purple/white dot), fold 1/4" to wrong side and press (see Diagram II-B). Turn remaining width of purple/white dot to wrong side to leaf print (II-C); press. Pin to hold in place. Turn pillowcase right side out. Topstitch along purple/white dot, being sure to catch hemmed edge that was turned/pinned to wrong side of case (II-D). Make 2 pillowcases.
