I've always had my eye on a perfect height cutting table, one of the versions that has drop leaves so it can tuck up against the wall when not in use.

| As long as I'm wishing for studio furniture, I may as well go all the way and ask Santa for a customized sewing and work center. My current set-up works just fine, but I always admire the slick Koala or Horn of America versions that I see at International Quilt Market. |

I think the quilting elves need to bring me jewelry, like a diamond or some tanzanite. And a shopping spree to an embellishment shop. Plus bags and bags of Angelina.

| While they are at it, a year-long shopping certificate from EQuilter with no spending limit on batiks. Whew! Realistically, I wish for more visits from my innovation muse and African fabric from my sister Nancy when she returns from Kenya. |

I would love a "quilting cruise" and would take my husband along as his Christmas gift! What could be better than to combine traveling to new ports and places with your "sweetie," and still have time to take some cool quilting classes along the way.

| Ok, let's find that travel agent's number…oh, I mean Santa's number. |

I'd like some specialized feet for my sewing machine, but if Santa thinks I've been REALLY good, maybe he'll bring me a whole new machine, complete with stitch regulator!

A studio make-over!
1. Lots more shelving for books and patterns
2. Fabric storage cabinet, like maybe an old armoire.
3. Better lighting—instead of one incandescent
overhead fixture, I'd like some good, bright task lights around the perimeter.
|
 |
4. A smaller computer desk and bigger sewing center.
5. A real design wall—the sliding-closet-doors-covered-with-flannel idea just didn't work.
Oh, and a husband who isn't afraid of just a little more fabric. |

Under my 3-ft. Christmas tree, I would like to find a quilting workstation…something with light-colored wood to match my other furnishings, a lot of drawers and secret storage compartments, a place for my

There are so many things to wish for in the fabric world! For starters, I'd like a couple of old trunks to show up under my tree, bursting with vintage silks. |

And, if my stocking could be cascading with threads and fibers of every kind (and the needles to go along with them), I'd be a very happy quilter.
Finally, some sort of wonderful storage system to keep my goodies organized would be the glacé cherry on top of my Christmas fruitcake! |
