Planning
Before cutting the star patches from assorted bright prints, you may wish to select 20 sets of 1 fat eighth and 1 fat quarter each of fabrics in pleasing combinations for the inner and outer stars of each block.
The outer border fabric in this cheerful quilt is a directional print. Yardage and cutting are based on the featured fabric. If you choose a nondirectional print for the outer border, you can piece all the border strips from width of fabric (WOF) strips, and will need to purchase just 2 yds.
