Quilt Top Assembly
Note: Refer to Assembly Diagram for following steps. Setting triangles are cut oversized to allow for trimming quilt edges even after assembly. If making a bed quilt, rotate Bouquet Blocks so bouquets will face properly when draping off a bed.

Step 7. Make quilt corners by stitching Bouquet Blocks, setting squares, and cream 22 1/2" quarter-square triangles into diagonal rows. Sew rows together. Add cream 11 3/4" half-square triangles to corners. Stitch quilt corners to center medallion as shown. Trim edges even.

Step 8. Measure exact width of quilt (raw edge to raw edge) and exact length of pieced 26-square border strips. If pieced strip is shorter than quilt width, sew a cream strip to each end of pieced strip. Stitch medium green print 2" x 83" strips to sides of 26-square pieced strip. Trim green strips even with pieced strip. Make 2. Stitch to top and bottom of quilt. Stitch rose/green print 5 1/2" x 96" strips to sides of quilt; trim even with top/bottom. Stitch remaining rose/green print strips to top/bottom; trim even with sides.

Quilting and Finishing
Step 9.
Layer and baste quilt top for quilting method of your choice (see Basic Quiltmaking Instructions). Pat machine quilted the blocks and borders in the ditch. She quilted a floral motif in the setting squares and feather designs in the setting triangles. She added a vine of leaves in the cream and rose/green print borders.

Step10. Bind quilt with rose print fabric (see Basic Quiltmaking Instructions). Lynn added a flange insert with her binding. To do the same, piece dark green fern print 1 1/2" strips (see Diagram VII) to make strips in lengths and quantities given in cutting instructions. Fold strips in half lengthwise, wrong sides together; press. Pin to edges of quilt, aligning raw edges (overlap ends at corners). Place binding on flange (right sides together) and align raw edges; stitch though all layers. To complete, wrap binding to back side, pin, and blind stitch in place.
