Quilt Top Assembly
Piecing the Blocks
Step 1 ... Referring to Diagram I, place cream Template G fabric on medium red Template G fabric, right sides together. On wrong side of cream square, mark diagonal line with marking tool of your choice. Sew 1/4" seam on each side of marked line; cut apart on drawn line. Press open to make 2 pieced squares. Make a total of 72 pieced squares, 36 with medium red fabric and 36 with dark red fabric
Step 2 ... Refer to Diagram II to cut Template D fabric. Align 45 degree angle line on acrylic rotary cutting ruler with long edge of 2 1/2" x WOF medium green strip. Cut off end of strip. Measure 7 1/4" from cut, turn ruler on fabric strip to align 45 degree line with opposite edge and cut first trapezoid. Continue measuring and turning ruler back and forth to complete cutting strip. Repeat to cut remaining Template D fabric.
Step 3 ... Stitch cream Template B fabric to medium green Template D fabric as shown in Diagram III. Add dark green Template B fabric to cream Template F fabric as shown in Diagram IV.

Step 4 ... Referring to Diagram V, sew Floral Basket Block. Make a total of 18.
