Step 5 ... Referring to Diagram VI-A to
cut Template L/LR half Trapezoids, measure 4 5/8" from end of 1 3/4"
x 7 1/2" cream rectangle; align 45 degree line on acrylic rotary cutting
ruler with fabric edge and cut into 2 Template L fabrics. Reverse direction
of angle to cut LR fabrics. To cut cream Template N and NR fabrics, use
same procedure on 1 3/4" x 10" cream rectangle and measure 5 7/8"
from end (see Diagram VI-B).
Step 6 ... Referring
to Diagram VII, align long edge of corner clipping guide with edge of
acrylic rotary cutting ruler. Tape to ruler. Lay ruler over 4 1/4"
large floral square, aligning corner clipping guide with edges of square.
Cut off corner to make Template Q fabric. Make 4.
Step 7
... Referring to Diagrams VIII-A through D, stitch pieced units for side
borders. Sew diagonal rows using pieced units and floral print Template
P fabrics (see Diagram IX). Sew rows together.
