3.) Stitch
2 pieced diamonds to blue/gold quarter square triangle to make pieced trapezoid
(see Diagram III). Make

4.) Referring to
Diagram IV, sew 4 pieced trapezoids to floral square, stopping 1/4"
from edge at each corner. Backtack to secure. Stitch angled seams, again
starting 1/4" from edge at inner corner and backtacking to secure.
Make 20 blocks.
Putting It All Together
5.) Referring to Assembly Diagram, make 5 horizontal rows. Sew rows
together.

6.) Sew 2" x 80"
blue/gold strips to sides of quilt. Trim ends even with top and bottom.
Stitch 2" x 70" blue/gold strips to top and bottom of quilt
and trim even with sides.
7.) Stitch
7 1/2" x 86" dark blue strips to sides of quilt. Trim ends even
with top and bottom. Sew remaining strips to top and bottom of quilt and
trim even with sides.
Quilting and Finishing
8.) Layer and baste quilt top for quilting method of your choice
(see Basic

9.) Bind quilt with remaining dark blue
