Step 1.
Referring to Diagram I for placement of individual pieces, lay triangles and squares on a flat surface to construct the pattern shown.

Step 2. Sew together individual triangles into small pieced squares, as shown in Diagram II. Make 72 pieced squares for Wreath Block.

Step 3. Using Diagram I, piece together squares to make 10 rows. Beginning at top, sew rows together to complete Wreath Block.

Step 4. For Corner Block, make 4 pieced squares as shown in Diagram III, and join to make block. Make 4 Corner Blocks

Putting It All Together

Step 5. Sew a gold strip to each side of wreath block. Trim strips even with top and bottom of quilt. Sew a gold strip to top and bottom of block. Trim strips even with sides of quilt. (See Assembly Diagram).

Step 6. Sew an ivory print strip to each side of quilt. Trim even with top and bottom of quilt. Sew a corner block to one end of each remaining ivory strip. Pin strips to top and bottom of quilt, marking placement of remaining corner blocks, allowing for 1/4" seam allowance. Remove strips, trim to proper length, and attach remaining corner blocks. Sew pieced strips to top and bottom of quilt.

Quilting and Finishing

Step 7. Mark quilting design in borders. Layer and baste quilt for quilting method of your choice (see Basic Quiltmaking Instructions). Hand or machine quilt a diagonal grid design over wreath, and quilt design in borders.
