Quilting and Finishing
Step 6. Layer and baste quilt top for quilting method of your choice (see Basic Quiltmaking Instructions). The featured quilt was machine quilted. A clamshell pattern appears on the cats. Quilting on the tails varies and includes continuous zigzag, swirl, and curlicue designs. The cat background features a meandering spiderweb. In the Eight-patch Blocks, simple arcs are stitched on the batik rectangles, and an elongated diamond design appears in the light blue block border. This pattern is repeated in the inner border. The outer border features a continuous ball of string design!
Step 7. Bind quilt with teal batik fabric (see Basic Quiltmaking Instructions).
