Cutting Instructions
Assorted medium prints
cut 24 matching sets of:
... 1 square 6 1/2" x 6 1/2"
... 2 strips 2" x 6"
cut a total of:
... 110 strips 2" x 6" (pieced border)

White solid
... *2 strips 2" x 48", pieced from 3 width of fabric (WOF) strips
... *2 strips 1 3/4" x WOF
... 24 squares 6 1/2" x 6 1/2"
... 4 squares 6" x 6"

Piecing the Blocks
Step 1. On wrong side of white solid 6 1/2" square, draw diagonal line with marking tool of your choice. Referring to Diagram I, place white square on assorted medium print 6 1/2" square, right sides together. Sew 1/4" seam on each side of marked line; cut apart on marked line. Press open to make pieced squares. Make 48 total. Trim pieced squares to 6" square.
Step 2. Referring to Diagram II, cut pieced square into four 1 1/2" segments as shown. Hint: Be sure to always have the pieced square turned the same direction with the white solid in the upper left corner and the print in the lower right.
