Planning, Cutting, and Marking
When making the pieced triangles for the corners of the blocks (Diagram II), be sure to pin carefully at match points (dots), stitch slowly, and stop and start at the match points. To mark match points accurately on Template A pieces, punch a small hole in the plastic template where the seam lines intersect. Mark dots on wrong side of fabric with pencil. To mark match points on rotary cut pieces, use a clear ruler and measure in 1/4" from the 2 cut edges; place dot where the seam lines intersect.
