Piecing the Blocks and Borders
1. To make green/beige Log Cabin Block, sew beige mottle and green mottle 2" squares together. Stitch 2" x WOF beige mottle strip to side; press strip open and trim even with edges (Diagram I-A). Sew green mottle 2" x WOF strip to side (Diagram I-B); press strip open and trim edges even. Continue sewing strips to sides as shown in Diagrams I-C through I-K. Press each strip open and trim edges even before adding next strip. Make 4 green/beige Log Cabin Blocks. Repeat process using red mottle/beige mottle, red mottle/green mottle, and all beige mottle strips. Make 4 of each arrangement.
