Planning, Cutting, and Marking
The red blocks and blue blocks are pieced identically, with the geese all going in the same direction. During quilt top assembly the red blocks are turned 180° (upside down) to make the red geese fly in the opposite direction. Watch block row construction carefully to be sure that the blocks (geese) are turned correctly.

Cutting Instructions
Assorted beige printscut 56 matching sets of:
... 16 squares 2 3/8" x 2 3/8", cut in half diagonally to make 32 half-square triangles
... 2 squares 3 3/8" x 3 3/8"
Assorted red printscut 28 matching sets of:
... 4 squares 4 1/4" x 4 1/4", cut in half twice diagonally to make 16 quarter-square triangles
... 2 squares 3 7/8" x 3 7/8"
... 1 square 6 1/2" x 6 1/2"
Assorted blue printscut 28 matching sets of:
... 4 squares 4 1/4" x 4 1/4", cut in half twice diagonally to make 16 quarter-square triangles

... 2 strips 2 1/2" x 98", pieced from 5 width of fabric (WOF) strips

Piecing the Blocks
Step 1. Referring to Diagram I, stitch matching beige print 2 3/8" half-square triangles to sides of assorted red print 4 1/4" quarter-square triangle. Make 28 total sets of 16 matching pieced rectangles. Repeat using assorted beige print and assorted blue print triangles; make 28 total sets of 16 matching pieced rectangles.
