Fabric Requirements
Assorted red prints, green prints, and brown prints (stars, setting squares, triangles) 6-7 yds. total
Assorted cream prints (star backgrounds) 3-3 1/2 yds. total
Red/green print (inner border) 5/8 yd.
Green texture (middle border) 3/4 yd.
Brown/red print (outer border, binding) 2 7/8 yds.
Backing (piece widthwise) 7 7/8 yds.

Sandee started with a pack of red and green fat quarters. She added fabrics from her own stash to come up with this delicious combination. As she was making the star blocks, she purposely mixed some of the 3 1/2" square centers with different star point colors to add interest to the stars (see Step 3 and Diagram III). Do likewise if you wish.
Cutting Instructions
Assorted red prints, green prints, and brown prints—cut a total of:
... *8 squares 11" x 11", cut in half twice diagonally to make 32 quarter-square triangles
... *2 squares 6" x 6", cut in half diagonally to make 4 half-square triangles
... *63 squares 6 1/2" x 6 1/2"
cut 80 sets of:
... 8 matching squares 2" x 2"
... 1 square 3 1/2" x 3 1/2"
