Diagram I Quilt Top Assembly Note: Refer to Assembly Diagram for following steps. Step 2. Alternating block position, sew 17 rows of 14 Snail's Trail Blocks each. Stitch rows together. Step 3. Referring to photo, trim corners of quilt top to create gentle curves (draw around a glass or saucer as a guide). Assembly Diagram Quilting and Finishing Step 4. Layer and baste quilt top for quilting method of your choice (See Quiltmaking Lessons). The original quilt was outline quilted within each template fabric. Outline quilting in the cream solid follows the flowing arc of fan shapes. Step 5. Bind quilt with green solid fabric (See Quiltmaking Lessons).
