5. Stitch small leaf unit to side of
trunk unit (Diagram VI). Sew large leaf unit to top to complete
Tree of Life Block. Make 20 total.
QUILT TOP ASSEMBLY
Note: Refer to Assembly Diagram for following
steps. Setting triangles are cut oversized to allow trimming
quilt edges even after assembly.
6. Using cream solid 17" quarter-square
triangles, Tree of Life Blocks, and cream solid 10 1/2"
squares, stitch 8 diagonal rows. Stitch rows together. Sew cream
solid 9" half-square triangles to corners. Trim edges even.
7. Sew beige solid
3 1/2" x 74" strips to sides; trim even with top and
bottom. Stitch remaining beige solid strips to top and bottom;
trim even with sides. Sew cream solid 3 1/2" x 80"
strips to sides; trim even with top and bottom. Stitch remaining
cream solid strips to top and bottom; trim even with sides.
