American Classic - Page 2 Quilt Top Assembly PIECING THE BLOCKS 1. Arrange fabrics into matching sets of 8 Template A and 4 Template E from both light fabrics and dark fabrics for each Star Block. 2. Referring to Diagrams I-A through C, stitch 4 Template A fabrics together, alternating light and dark fabrics. Using set-in seams, sew 2 cream Template B, 1 Template C, and 1 cream Template D to make 4 of each for a total of 180 pieced squares. 3. Sew 8 Template E fabrics together, alternating light and dark fabrics (see Diagrams II-A through D). Using set-in seams, stitch 4 cream Template F fabrics to large star unit. Use set-in seams to sew 4 matching pieced squares into corners to complete Star Block. Make 45 total.
