Attaching the Binding

Step 1. Fold one end of binding strip diagonally and press).

Step 2. Begin stitching at the angled end of binding and sew to the 1/4" mark at the first corner of the quilt.

Step 3. Remove the quilt from the machine and turn it 90 degrees. Fold binding strip over itself to form a 45 degree fold. If the fold is done correctly, the edge of the unattached binding will align with the quilt's raw edge. Begin stitching again at the corner and backstitch. Continue around the quilt in the same manner until binding ends meet.

Step 4. Turn quilt over and fold binding, covering seam line. Refer to diagrams when folding binding at corners. Pin binding in place and blindstitch to the back of the quilt.
