Step 3. Pull fusible interfacing
away from fabric and make a slit through interfacing only (See Diagram
II). Carefully turn right side out, gently pushing out seamed edges
from inside (use a toothpick to help with this process). Finger-press
seam edges. Do not press with iron.

Step 4. Finger-press cream background
square in half lengthwise, crosswise, and diagonally (See Diagram
III & III-A). Using fold as placement guide, position Template
A piece in place. Using pressing cloth, press piece to secure it in
place.
Step 5. Using monofilament thread,
use either a blanket stitch or zig-zag stitch along edge to appliqué
pieces into place. Repeat Steps 1 through 5 for each Template A piece.
