Step 3. Four-patch Strip Units Sew Piece 1B cream strip to Piece 5B rust print #1 strip. Press seam toward rust print. Subcut two-patch rectangles 2" x 3 1/2". Cut 4 two-patch rectangles total (Diagram IIIA). Using Diagram IIIB as a guide, sew 2 two-patch rectangles together to make a four-patch unit. Make 2. Repeat steps for Piece 6B rust print #2 strip and Piece 1B cream strip. Diagram IIIA Diagram IIIB Step 4. Sub-unit #2 Using Diagram IV as a guide, place Piece 5E rust print #1 square, 2 Piece 1A cream rectangles and 1 four-patch unit as shown.
