Evelyn Wenzel of Van Orin, Illinois, made Sweet Elegance (McCall's Quilting, April 2004) for her great-granddaughter, Lilli Elizabeth. This three-generation photo includes Evelyn, granddaughter Lisa Bartels, and Lilli.
Rainbow Sherbet (McCall's Quilting, August 2003) inspired Gail Strickler of Clovis, New Mexico, to use her tie-dyes and batiks to make Batik Love Affair. It is her first large quilt and was machine quilted by Monta Horner of Liberty, Texas.
