Featured in McCall's Quilting February 2007 Issue Penny Rand of the Mountain Quail Quilter's Guild in McArthur, California, sent us a picture of the guild members and their version of Paws (McCall's Quilting, October 1996). The quilt was machine pieced and hand quilted by the members to raffle, with funds going to the local community. Two Pheasant Run quilts (McCall's Quilting, October 2005) were made by Juanita Ricke of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, and her daughter, Linda Bergman of Anthony, Kansas. The quilts were given to son-in-law/brother-in-law David Allen (left) and Rob Anderson, a family friend, for their annual pheasant hunt. The guys were happy to have the quilts along on their adventure, but we think Rob's dog, Dakota, was wishing for one, too!
