Featured in McCall's Quilting April 2006 Issue Betty Haines of E. Haddam, Connecticut, is shown with her version of Stars in His Crown (McCall's Quilting, October 2004). She made it as a raffle quilt for her church's Quilt and Needle art show. We love Betty's original border treatment.   Family Pride (McCall's Quilting, October 2005) inspired Debbie Steel of Phoenix, Arizona, blue star mom of Capt. Chad Steel, USAF, to make 4 window banners so each member of the family could display one. In the background is the American flag her son flew in a combat mission earlier in the year.
