Featured in McCall's Quilting August 2007 Issue This version of Little Sprouts (McCall's Quilting, April 2006) was made by Charlene Wilkinson of Van Nuys, California, as a birthday gift for her sister Gladys. Each of Gladys' five grandchildren has a photo in one of the blooms.   As proof that this Family Pride Mini Quilt (McCall's Quilting, October 2005 website bonus pattern) is well traveled, Jamie Sclater is shown holding it on top of a mountain in northern Afghanistan. It was made by his mother Jeanne Sclater, of Annandale, Virginia, and given to him as a Christmas present, along with a note requesting he carry the quilt with him during his deployment as a daily reminder of how proud his parents are of him.
