Piecing the Flag
1. Referring to Diagram I-A to IC, alternately sew red and white/cream 3 1/2" x 24 1/2" strips together; stitch to short side of navy rectangle. Alternately stitch white/cream and red 3 1/2" x WOF strips together; stitch to bottom of pieced flag top. Trim strip ends even.

2. Sew white texture 18" x WOF strips to top/bottom of flag; trim ends even with flag sides (Diagram II). Stitch white texture 25" x 70" strips to ends; trim even. Pieced backing will be approximately 68" x 88".
