From McCall's Quilting August 2001 Issue

Inspired by quilts made from a Nine-patch block exchange by an Indiana quilt guild (see McCall's Quilting, February 2000), the staff at our Primedia office here in Golden, Colorado decided to initiate a similar group project. On September 9th, 1999 (9/9/99), the invitation to take part in a Nine-patch block exchange went out to the employees. Staff members from McCall's Quilting, Quilter's Newsletter Magazine, Quiltmaker, and Sew News exchanged blocks 10 times, with each participant receiving a total of 210 blocks. Featured here are some of the beautiful quilts resulting from our block exchange.
